Mathilde SANGNIER
Born in 1994, Mathilde Sangnier currently lives and works in Arles. After graduating in 2012 from the École Supérieure d’Art et de Design de Valenciennes, she joined the École nationale supérieure de la photographie d’Arles, from which she graduated in 2019. There, she developed a work not only of image but also of installation. If the woman’s body is largely objectified in the media, it is her own body that Mathilde brings into play. From the object body to the body as a measuring tool, her work explores the political links between norms of representation and personal experiences.
