Marie Applagnat’s work and research focuses on places that have experienced a strong increase in population, for historical reasons, accompanying industrial or tourist revolutions. She is interested in the architectures that have been produced by these economic forces and how they are preserved, destroyed or rethought in new social, economic or ecological policies. This reflection on the evolution of cities and urban heritage takes several forms, including exhibition and publishing.
Since graduating from the ENSP, Marie Applagnat has joined the Mamc Saint-Etienne team as exhibition manager. She continues her interest in publishing, creating, with Lucie Liabeuf, the magazine Suspend, thanks to the support of Mécènes du sud.
