Cédrine Scheidig is a French-Caribbean photographer from Seine-Saint-Denis. Confronting the peripheral territories she knows well, whether it is the Parisian suburbs or the overseas spaces, her artistic work is interested in the contemporary concerns of diasporas. Her imagery explores transcultural identities and personal narratives, addressing a wide range of themes such as colonial history, modern mobilities, relationship to nature and self-discovery.

In 2021, she was exhibited at the Rencontres d’Arles and won the Dior Prize for Photography and Visual Arts for Young Talent. She is also a finalist for the Prize Picto de La mode 2021 and for the Bourse de la nouvelle photographie urbaine 2021.
